Björgvin Gíslason

Björgvin Gíslason was an Icelandic guitarist, songwriter, arranger, and record producer. He began his band career in the mid-1960s and subsequently played with numerous groups, including Flamingo, Falcon, Zoo, Pops, Opus 4, and Náttúra. Known for his versatile guitar playing, he also performed on keyboards, piano, and sitar.

Alongside his own releases, Gíslason worked in recording and arranging and contributed to a large number of Icelandic albums. His solo work appeared at different stages of his career, including Bio, Púnktur, Slettur, and Jarðarbunga. His work in rock, progressive music, and studios had a wide influence on Icelandic musical life.
