Mike Stern

Mike Stern is an American jazz and fusion guitarist who has built a career as a performer, recording artist, and collaborator. He studied at Berklee College of Music and received an early opportunity with Blood, Sweat & Tears. His guitar playing brings together influences from rock, blues, and jazz, with an emphasis on an electric sound and improvisation.

Stern has worked with Miles Davis, Billy Cobham, Jaco Pastorius, the Brecker Brothers, Joe Henderson, and many other musicians. He has released sixteen albums as a leader, six of which have received Grammy nominations. His long career has made him an influential guitarist in contemporary jazz and fusion.
