Pálmi Sigurhjartarson

Pálmi J. Sigurhjartarson is an Icelandic pianist and keyboard player who has worked professionally as a musician since 1984. His recorded-music work has included instrumental performance, arranging, recording engineering, songwriting, and singing. Piano and keyboard playing have been central to his musical work, both in bands and in collaborations with other performers.

He is known as a member of Sniglabandið, in which he plays keyboards and sings; a library catalogue for the band’s release Vestur credits him on piano and Fender Rhodes. Sigurhjartarson was also the pianist in Sjonni’s Friends, a group of Sigurjón Brink’s friends that represented Iceland at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with “Coming Home.” He had also contributed to the song as a member of the recently formed band Rokk, alongside Brink and other musicians involved in the project.
