Halldór Snorri Bragason, widely known as Dóri, was an Icelandic blues guitarist and singer who helped lead the country’s blues scene for many years. He was involved in founding and building the Reykjavík Blues Festival, organised workshops and concerts, and worked with his groups Vinir Dóra and The Blue Ice Band.
Dóri performed and recorded with Icelandic and international blues musicians and appeared at festivals on both sides of the Atlantic. He also played with Landsliðið, The Riot, Þrælarnir, Blúsboltarnir, and Big Nós Band. The Reykjavík Blues Society named him an honorary member in 2013 in recognition of his contribution to music and festival work.
