Robben Ford

Robben Ford is an American guitarist known for bringing together blues, jazz, rock, and R&B. He began his career in blues, performing early on with Charlie Musselwhite and Jimmy Witherspoon. He later became part of the L.A. Express and worked with Joni Mitchell before developing a personal sound that combines blues-based phrasing with jazz harmony.

Ford was a founding member of Yellowjackets and has had a long career as a solo artist and collaborator. He performed with Miles Davis in 1986 and has also worked with George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, and Larry Carlton, among others. He has received five Grammy nominations and also teaches through the Robben Ford Guitar Dojo.
