Börkur Hrafn Birgisson

Börkur Hrafn Birgisson is an Icelandic musician, guitarist, songwriter, and recording producer. He is one of the three members of Mono Town, alongside Daði Birgisson and Bjarki Sigurðsson. In the group he plays guitar and contributes to songwriting; the band is known for English-language indie rock and performed at Iceland Airwaves in 2013.

He is credited as a co-writer of Mono Town’s “Peacemaker,” from the album In the Eye of the Storm. Under his own name, he released the album Þriðja leiðin in 2006. Birgisson has also worked in recording, arranging, and production for other artists, including on Bubbi Morthens’s Stormurinn, where he also played electric guitar, sang backing vocals, and performed percussion.
