Krummi Björgvins

Krummi Björgvinsson, also known as Krummi, is an Icelandic singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead vocalist of Mínus, a Reykjavík rock band working at the intersection of hardcore punk and alternative rock. With Krummi on vocals, Mínus became a prominent Icelandic rock group around the turn of the millennium and released albums including Hey Johnny!, Jesus Christ Bobby, Halldór Laxness and The Great Northern Whalekill.

His musical work has not been limited to Mínus. Krummi worked in Esja with Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson, and he has also been the singer in Legend, a project combining dark electronic rock with industrial and new-wave elements. Under his own name, he has released music connected with country, folk rock and blues. Mínus’s 2003 album Halldór Laxness is among his best-known recordings with the band; it drew considerable attention in Iceland and was later released internationally.
